When deciding on owning a Boerboel this should not be taken lightly. Please be sure you do your homework and of course I am here to answer any questions you may have.

1. How did you find out about the Boerboel breed and have you ever met a Boerboel?

2. Why do you want a Boerboel puppy? Please describe your Boerboel puppy’s ideal temperament.

3. What is your plan for exercising your puppy?

4. What is your level of experience with large dogs?

5. Do you have children living at home? If yes, what ages are they?

6. Do you live in a rural or suburban setting?

7. Who will primarily care for your Boerboel puppy?

8. Where will your dog live?

9. What will a typical day be like for your family dog?

10. Where will the pup be kept when you are not at home? How many hours a day will the dog" "typically be left alone?

11. Do you have the time and resources to take your puppy through a training program? It is important that Boerboels have formal and informal obedience training/socialization starting as soon as you get them home (puppies may begin attending classes as soon as they have arrived in their new families). Be sure any program you choose utilizes “positive reinforcement” in their training.

12. Do you plan to have your Boerboel spayed or neutered?

14. Do you have any intention of showing this puppy?

15. If you are married or share your home with another person(s) do they support adding a Boerboel to your family?

16. What are your plans to transport the puppy to his/her new home? Either drive to pick up or ground transport or flight.
